Robert A. Van Praet

Prior to his call to the Bar in 2005, Robert Van Praet graduated from The University of Western Ontario with an Honours B.A. in Political Science and then obtained his LL.B from Bond University in Australia. Robert then completed the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PLT with Distinction) and was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and placed on the Register of the High Court of Australia. Upon his return to Canada, Robert practised law in Ottawa and London prior to joining Dyer Brown LLP in May of 2011. His practise focuses on Insurance Defence and Plaintiff personal injury work together with experience in Professional Negligence and commercial litigation. He has appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
